Michala daughter of Michael Brasseur and Karleen Dumaine, first began performing at the age of ten. She started training professionally in ballet, studying the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. This early training lead her to study in a variety of dance such as: Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballroom and Musical Theatre. Michala has had a successful career in dancing, achieving her associate teacher for C.D.T.A Tap, Jazz, and Ballet, and her A.D.A.P.T associate teacher in Tap and Jazz. She has performed in over ten ballets, and completed more than twenty dance exams,including her Advanced Two R.A.D training in ballet all by eighteen years of age. 

It wasn’t until Michala performed in her first musical, where she truly found her passion, acting. Being raised in Estevan, Saskatchewan, didn’t give Michala a lot of opportunity to pursue her passion, therefore she moved to Toronto and began studying. After finishing theatre school she has studied in many acting techniques with many successful teachers/actors, such as: Andrew Moodie, Mark Ingram, John Beele, Lewis Baumander, Bruce Clayton, David Rotenburg, and she is currently studying with Sophie Ann Rooney at RAW Acting Studio in Toronto.

Michala is also a singer/ songwriter in the making training at Big Voice Studios, with Elaine Overholt and Kristina Victoria in Musical Theatre voice, and pop singing. She has written over ten songs, and hopes to release an album in the next three years. Michala is confident that her triple threat abilities will pay off in a very successful career.
